Re: WARBL on a Chrome Book?
I suspect that the light next to channel 7 is flickering because WARBL uses channel 7 to communicate with the Configuration Tool. If you unplug the WARBL, plug it back in, and reconnect FluidSynth to it, I believe the light next to channel 1 will stop flickering (it's because you probably connected ...

Re: WARBL on a Chrome Book?
I believe I have the reverb and chorus working now, if anyone wants to test it. It apparently had to be enabled within the SoundFont itself. Now the controls in FluidSynth should work. Here's the updated version: https://warbl.xyz/soundfonts/WARBL_whistle2.sf2

Re: WARBL on a Chrome Book?
Ah, I was just testing this and hadn’t seen the replies yet. The SFX doesn’t work for me either. That’s a newer addition to FluidSynth, and there may be something I need to change in the SoundFont to allow the SFX to work. I’ll look into it—some reverb would be nice. By the way, for those who haven’...

Re: Bell Sensor Options
Will do! I’ve been mulling over any easy/cheap way to manufacture something like that.

Re: New WARBL mouthpiece
I’ve had requests for making it larger, but not narrower:). This actually actually reassures me because hopefully it means I chose a happy medium. I expect you could carve a semicircular rubber plug to stick in there to make it smaller. I also just did a quick experiment with a heat gun—after gettin...

Re: Everybody wants their own fingering
The main sticking point is that the memory used for storing fingering charts is the same as where the firmware is located, and it all has to be written at once. The location of the user settings (EEPROM) can be rewritten at any time but is very small. The new “custom” fingering option can be stored ...

Re: R4 hole not aligned
I suspect it would be tricky because the sensor is so close to the exterior of the instrument. However, someone suggested making a key (3d printed, possibly?), which could make the hole closer to the others and offset it simultaneously. It would likely reverse the action of the tonehole, e.g. pressi...

Re: Off the grid?
Just in case anyone missed the announcement, the latest iOS version of the WARBL app (Config Tool) does now work without internet. The only time internet is needed is when you first install the app and if you want it to receive an update.

Re: WARBL on a Chrome Book?
Hmmm, I can get my hands on a Chromebook tomorrow test this. Sorry, it’s been so long that I forget the details. If you’re hearing the Config Tool sounds you’ll want to turn that off. It might even be possible that WARBL can’t connect to both simultaneously on a Chromebook? That’s the case with Wind...
