Transfer settings from WARBL to WARBL2

The manual mentions Import/Export settings to a file, with this caveat: Note: If you import settings from an original WARBL to a WARBL2 it’s possible that not all settings will be imported accurately. You may need to manually change some settings. Is this the recommended way to transfer settings fro...

Re: Also not a WARBL question, but could use advice on alternative to FluidSynth on Android

FluidSynth works ok for me on Google Pixel, but for other options,

I would look at one of the cross-platform DAWs that runs on Android, such as ZenBeats or Audio Evolution. These have virtual synths and MIDI CC control. With some tweaking I suspect either of these could be made to work.

Re: Empress ZOIA

Thanks. I don't think CV is needed to control ZOIA. The ZOIA has a (TRS) MIDI connection and each parameter can be modulated by MIDI CC. To play ZOIA with WARBL, one needs a USB to TRS converter, like a CME WIDI Jack. It's the design of the patch itself that I have questions about, but I think most ...

Robkoo Qithesizer

Robkoo released the Qithesizer synth on iPad, iPhone and Mac. https://www.robkoo.com/en/qithesizer Designed with wind controller in mind, it combines virtual analog, wavetable, and physical modeling in one. I assume it is intended to complement their R1 wind controller instrument, but it is also gen...

Intro to iPad breath-controlled synth patches

I just discovered this tutorial that Brandon Dorris (coltranius) posted in 2021: https://youtu.be/kI8pIb_C7Ko It explains how to create breath controlled synth patches on the iPad that are: cheap, sound good, portable, and easy to use. Brandon plays a EWI in the clip, but this tutorial applies to an...

Empress ZOIA

Does anyone have experience creating WARBL-friendly patches for the Empress Zoia? It's a modular synth (subtractive/FM) and effects pedal. I suspect it is not difficult to create something cool controlled by the WARBL. Anyone have tips, suggestions or tricks? This may be a longshot, but I did notice...
