Re: Bagpipe bags
Nice! I was looking at bota bags online recently in my ongoing attempts to find a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to the blue water bottles. There are some that look nice but appear to be rigid plastic, and so wouldn't work. I'm hoping there may be one that combines reasonable appearance and...

Re: Good Application for Windows?
Others may have suggestions, but If you're looking for a free alternative that will play sf2 files, I have found that SForzando works well: https://www.plogue.com/downloads.html#sforzando It will play the tin whistle sf2 file that I made, which you can download here: https://warbl.xyz/soundfonts/WAR...

Re: Playing with the Yamaha UD-BT01 Bluetooth adapter
Yes, if I added Bluetooth I would definitely use a pre-certified module, as it does make certification easier. You do still have to certify the whole device as well, of course, but it's less expensive and more streamlined with a pre-certified module. There's a Nordic module I have in mind that can u...

That's correct, the currently available version as of 5/20 is the one discussed in this thread, with GHB hole spacing.

When I have a chance I clean up the enclosure CAD and make it available on the site. It's been on my TODO list for a while

Re: Would it make sense to have a "WARBL" fingering?
I could certainly look into a WARBL-specific fingering chart. Yes, I think the extended Gaita chart currently offers the widest range. I think the only real limitation of charts like that that maximize the number of notes is that it increases the possibility for error and "crossing noise",...

Re: More Hardware Porn!
Thanks for the suggestions-- I've been posting some assembly photos to the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WARBLmusic I've attached a few of those here. Next time I assemble a batch of them I'll try to take more detailed photos. The black foam that you see is for sound-deadening purposes onl...

Re: Add optional MPE support
It's certainly a possibility, though as most of the instruments that WARBL mimics are by nature monophonic, I'm not sure how many users would benefit from it. I'll research this.

Re: Bagpipe bags
Sounds good! If the sound won't stop when you release the bag, it may be that the calibration pressure is set to low. With a bag, it's best to use the "learn or enter pressure" setting. That way you can "teach" it what pressure to use for turning the sound on or off (or you can e...

Re: Sessions!
Cool, thanks! I suspect some of the other small external speakers would be loud enough too. I have a small Bose one that gets quite loud. One thing that is for certain is that you can’t connect by Bluetooth, because the latency is far too great.
