Bottom sensor disables all finger note for Medieval

Post by waltercool »

Hey hi!

Not sure if a bug or feature, but playing all holes and tapping by mistake the bell sensor (bottom), it stops playing, on the Medieval Bagpipe.

It works fine at any other note but when pressing all fingers+bell it produces no sound et all. Had a hard time guessing the root cause but this seems to be easy to reproduce.

If this is a feature, any way to disable/change the bell sensor behavior?

Many thanks!

It is actually a feature—it was requested by some gaita players a few years ago. I believe to disable it you should be able to click “auto-calibrate bell sensor only” and then not cover the bell sensor at all during the next five seconds while the LED is lit. That way the bell sensor shouldn’t ever register as being covered.
