amplification

Post by Habo »

If I play the Warbl through my ipad I have very little volume.

How do you, or would you, use the Warbl for a public performance?

For a small setting you may be able to use an amplified speaker with an AUX (3.5mm) input. Many portable Bluetooth speakers also have an AUX input. For a large setting, PAs may also have an AUX input, or you could probably use an interface like this one to connect to an XLR input. My knowledge of all this is very basic, but I believe there are a number of interfaces for connecting portable devices to the various amp/PA inputs.

I play WARBL in church by plugging the WARBL into an older Galaxy S8 Android phone that has FluidSynth installed and has a mini-jack headphone output. I have a cable that runs from the phone audio output to a guitar amplifier that then connects to the church pa system. The phone could go straight into a DI box and into the church pa, but I like to use the volume and balance controls on the amp.
