This is a thread for more-obscure physical instruments the WARBL could theoretically emulate.
To start off, at https://www.linseypollak.com/instruments/ these DIY instruments look doable:
"Cylisax"
"Foonki"
"Clarini"
"Carrot Clarinet"
The MiniSax - a pretty, professional instrument that costs about $150 - looks doable if you use the WARBL's 7th hole to emulate some half-fingerings:

Chalumeaux from The Shawm Shop in F or C. Handmade wood, ~$150. The Chalumeaux is the forerunner of the Clarinet; there is a decent amount of classical music written specifically for it.

Note that many Chalumeaux use half-fingering on the bottom or bottom two holes to achieve a fully Chromatic scale. This one does not and therefore can only play in the tuned key. (As far as I'm aware, the WARBL can't pick up half-states; I'm not sure if that is a hardware or software limitation.)
The instrument has, like the WARBL, 7 front holes and 1 back hole. However the bottom front hole is off-center, so switching would probably be a bit annoying.
Fingering chart: page 4 at https://www.theshawmshop.co.uk/finger-charts
(Note I'm trying to figure out what acoustic instrument, if any, I'd most like to learn after the WARBL, and I thought others might be interested in my research. So these are not feature requests on my behalf.)

...don't worry, I haven't yet invested too much time in trying to recreate a MIDI carrot clarinet.
(At the moment I'm too busy trying to bodge together an Airpiano.)

A DIY PVC Sax that seems to have the same hole setup at the WARBL: https://www.bookofjoe.com/2009/04/a-req ... m-pvc.html
