Hi folks,
I hooked up my WARBL and started playing it in whistle mode, but when I reached the top “hole” number 3 I not only heard the whistle tone, but also a bagpipes/sax sound at the same time. It’s also about a fifth from the fundamental tone. It also does this on both iPhone and an iOs tablet. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank you,
J

Re: Multiple sounds from one note.
Which MIDI app are you using? It sounds like you could possibly be triggering bagpipe drones, or maybe you have two MIDI apps open at once?

Re: Multiple sounds from one note.
I’m getting that through the WARBL configuration app. It isn’t a drone, because it changes pitch. The other MIDI apps I’m attempting to use are Celtic Sounds and an attempt at Säckpipa, both of which are Appcordion apps.
Re: Multiple sounds from one note.
The notes that would be D, E, and F# on a D whistle sound right. As soon as I get to the G note another tone is added.
Re: Multiple sounds from one note.
I just deleted the Säckpipa app and all is normal again.
Re: Multiple sounds from one note.
It sounds like the Säckpipa app might possibly have been open in the background, and playing notes when you got to the range that it responds to. That’s just a guess, though
