I'm using basic sax fingering, but I've decided that I'd prefer to use thumb off to raise an octave, rather than thumb on. The "invert thumb" doesn't seem to have any effect.
What am I dong wrong?
I'm running 2.0

Re: Invert thumb on basic sax
The "invert" capability only works for fingering charts that don't use the thumb as an integral part of the chart, for example tin whistle/flute and a few others. For sax, recorder, etc., the the thumb functionality is hard-code into the chart because it's a little more complex than just changing the octave for every note. That made it not possible to (easily) invert the functionality, so I just stuck with how the acoustic version of the instrument works, i.e. whether there's a key vs. a tone hole to change the octave.
I should probably disable the invert switch for fingering charts where it doesn't do anything. I made it a long time ago when there was basically just the whistle chart, and haven't given it much thought since then .

Re: Invert thumb on basic sax
Thanks, Andrew.
I'll just continue to use it as-is. No great issue.
