Connection failure with Ubuntu/chrome

Firefox: That link suggested uninstalling Firefox Snap and installing the Firefox .deb package. I did that and it now works. Yay!

Chrome: Mysteriously, Chrome now works too. The version number is the same, and I'm using the same computer and cable. My installation of Chrome must not want to be outdone by Firefox.... Don't understand why it's working, but it is.

That's strange. I do use LibreWolf (Firefox fork) and works fine for me without extra configurations.

No idea if Snap uses a permission manager like Flatpak, but if that's the case, it might have some restrictions to access certain features like MIDI devices.

Using system packages like Deb/RPM should overcome those limitations.
