I know there is for Kontakt 6 a very good plugin for Tin Whistle, but its way too expensive.
Does anyone know a good alternative? I would by up to 80 euro I think.
Second question: Where do I get sf2 Files for the android app (forgott the name of it). Want to try Low Whistle too, but cant find a soundfont file.
Good Application for Windows?
Re: Good Application for Windows?
Others may have suggestions, but If you're looking for a free alternative that will play sf2 files, I have found that SForzando works well:
https://www.plogue.com/downloads.html#sforzando
It will play the tin whistle sf2 file that I made, which you can download here: https://warbl.xyz/soundfonts/WARBL_whistle1.sf2
The soundfont isn't perfect, but I think it sounds reasonably good and would at least get you started while you're looking for other options.
That soundfont also works well with FluidSynth on Android. I don't know of the best place to find other soundfonts, but searching the web may find some good ones.

Re: Good Application for Windows?
So i tried sforzando, but It crashes all the time and destroys my audio drivers on the pc every time Maybe there are better solutions? I would pay for it up to 80 euro.
Re: Good Application for Windows?
Oh, that's too bad, I had only heard good reviews of Sforzando. I don't know of another inexpensive option for Windows that isn't free, but I have also used the "Soundfont MIDI Player" successfully on my WIndows 10 machine. I discussed it in this thread: "Soundfont MIDI Player". Yet another free option is Cakewalk by Bandlab. It's more complicated to set up.
With most of these Windows apps I use ASIO4all as the audio driver, which sometimes helps with latency and some other issues.

Here's a video I made for setting up Sforzando: https://youtu.be/6sdFDlUcr04
I've used this on three Windows 10 PCs with no issues, but I may have been lucky

Re: Good Application for Windows?
I have just been testing qsynth on windows and that works well. It can be downloaded from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/qsynth/ and the main website is here https://qsynth.sourceforge.io/ There was a bit of latency delay but that improved using the waveout Audio driver and reducing the buffer size and buffer count. Is also works well this sound font viewtopic.php?f=9&t=224
Re: Good Application for Windows?
Great, thanks! It's working on my machine as well. Here's the direct link for the Windows installer: https://sourceforge.net/projects/qsynth ... e/download
I believe that people have had success with this app on Linux too.
