Intro to iPad breath-controlled synth patches

Questions discussions about the things that actually make the sound, i.e. MIDI apps, synthesizers, soft synths, etc.

Intro to iPad breath-controlled synth patches

Post by mojozart »

I just discovered this tutorial that Brandon Dorris (coltranius) posted in 2021:

https://youtu.be/kI8pIb_C7Ko

It explains how to create breath controlled synth patches on the iPad that are: cheap, sound good, portable, and easy to use.

Brandon plays a EWI in the clip, but this tutorial applies to any instrument, like WARBL, that can send pressure as MIDI CC.

Aside from AUM, only free plugins are used in the tutorial.

Brandon has posted several other clips that may be of interest to those who WARBL with iPad:
