Vibrato and note instability
I am trying to set up my Warbl for uilleann pipe practice. I want to make it so vibrato is an option particularly for airs, but the notes are so unstable with the vibrato turned on that I have to turn it off just to play a jig or reel without it making me crazy. Any suggestion on how to set it up so that I can play both airs with ornamentation and jigs/reels etc. Thanks. Scott
Re: Vibrato and note instability
Hi Scott, if you turn vibrato on but not slide, the notes should be pretty stable, but you can also try reducing the finger-sensing distance and/or the vibrato depth. Also, with uilleann fingering I would suggest turning on the “custom” vibrato switch, which will limit vibrato to a few fingers on the right hand, and make it more like a real chanter in a few other ways. Also, you would want to make sure that the maximum vibrato depth on whatever app you’re using is set to two semitones.

Another option is to set a button to turn vibrato on/off if you’d like to be able to switch rapidly for different types of tunes.
